Refund Policy

Effective Date: June 5th, 2026

At nQuest, we're all about giving you powerful, flexible digital investigation tools — without the fine print headaches. We want things to be clear, fair, and easy to understand, so this Refund Policy lays out how we handle cancellations, free trials, and refund requests. No surprises — just straightforward info to help you feel confident using our services.

Cancellation and Refunds

Solo and Team Plans

  • Subscriptions are billed on a monthly recurring basis via Stripe. We do not support subscriptions with a billing period longer than one month at this time.
  • Cancelling during the free trial period (30 days) is always free. If you cancel during the trial, you will not be billed.
  • Otherwise, you will continue to have access to the service until the end of your current billing period after cancelling.
  • We do not offer refunds for services already provided on Solo/Team plans.
  • You don't need to talk to us to cancel. (But you can if you want, or if something goes wrong!)

Enterprise Plans

Enterprise plans are directly invoiced for ACH/Wire payment under the terms of your individual contract agreement. Please reach out to your account manager for more information on how to cancel, and any service credits that may be applicable under your contract.

How to Cancel (Self Service)

To cancel your subscription:

  1. Login to your account in the nQuest Desktop Application.
  2. Once logged in to Case Library, locate the “Account” option in the left navigation menu. (Note: On a Team account, only Billing and Global Admins can see and access this page.)
  3. Select “Billing Customer Portal” to go to your Stripe Customer Portal.
  4. Select “Cancel Subscription” in top right of the Dashboard and proceed through the flow.
  5. That's it! You're done. No need to talk to us. But if you'd like, shoot us an email and let us know why we didn't meet your needs. We'd love to learn how we can do better.

You can also cancel using the link in your original billing email. If you run into difficulty or need further assistance, please contact our support team at support@nquest.io.

Exceptional Circumstances

If you believe a billing error has occurred, please reach out. We strive to ensure that all customers are accurately billed, and we take any potential billing issues very seriously. Please reach out to our support team, and we can make it right.

If you have other extenuating circumstances, please reach out within 60 days of the charge in question. We can assess refund eligibility on a case-by-case basis.

Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have under the consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction.

nQuest Cancellation

Nothing in this policy should be interpreted as restricting nQuest from withdrawing service to accounts under our Terms of Service. If nQuest cancels your account for reasons other than nonpayment or a violation of our Terms of Service, we will refund the prorated remainder of your billing period. Accounts terminated for nonpayment or a Terms of Service violation are not eligible for a refund.
