- Review and configure account-wide settings.
- Understand plans, billing, and seat capacity.
- Add people and choose the right user access type and administrator roles.
- Organize work and permissions with custom groups.
- Add a restrictive security boundary with compartments.

Simplified Groups and Custom Groups
Section titled “Simplified Groups and Custom Groups”nQuest supports two ways to organize shared work:
- Simplified Groups—sometimes called light groups—provide private libraries, one account-wide shared library, or both. The Groups page is hidden because nQuest manages the underlying group structure. Administrators can mark a user as Restricted so that person only sees cases delegated directly to them.
- Custom Groups are the standard group-management mode. Administrators create named groups, assign members or viewers, and decide whether a group or its members can own or contribute to cases.
Self-service Team accounts can move from Simplified Groups to Custom Groups from Account Settings. Once Custom Groups have been implemented, self-service downgrade to Starter is unavailable; contact nQuest Support if the account needs a different configuration.
For how group membership, delegation, and compartments affect an individual case, see Working with Others.
